(Ludwigsstadt, July 14, 2016) For the fourth time now, WOM hands out a reward for its best trainees of the second training year, namely the free one-year use of a VW Up.
This year, 19-year old Christoph Beez from Ludwigsstadt was the lucky recipient. The aspiring machinists was very surprised and hugely pleased. He passed on his special thanks to his training team, which always provides outstanding help with exam preparations.
Even if his way to work is not so far, Christoph Beez may very well use the car for trips to the vocational school in Pegnitz. Since WOM also handles the insurance and fuel costs, that should save the trainee quite some money.
"The topic of training is extremely important for WOM," notes CFO Oliver Kupka during the key handover. "Only with well-trained and motivated young professionals can we meet the future challenges in the Upper Franconia region and support our planned growth", says Kupka.
The medical technology company is currently training 12 young people. Eight more trainees will start in autumn. By now, WOM has more than 240 employees at sites in Ludwigsstadt and Reichenbach. Over 30 new jobs have been created in the region within a year and the site will be strengthened by investments in the amount of millions in the future as well.
Mayor Timo Ehrhardt takes pride in the sustained commitment and location loyalty of the WOM in the Rennsteig region. "The close cooperation between the city and the now largest employer in Ludwigsstadt is of enormous importance", adds Ehrhardt.
