Taking Responsibility: Corporate Sustainability at WOM

As a company, we are aware of our social responsibilities. Economic success and sustainability go hand in hand at WOM. Corporate sustainability is an important part of our daily work.

A clear Commitment to our Principles

We understand Corporate Sustainability as a holistic issue. WOM adheres to regulations and laws, but also follows ethical principles, and has outlined conduct standards for all employees. Our Code of Conduct forms the foundation for our social, ecological, and economic thinking and actions.

As a global company, we actively take responsibility and have defined priorities for our commitment: our environment, our employees, and the society in which we live and work. In the important CSR rating of EcoVadis, we achieved silver status for our activities in 2020.

Protecting Nature

We are committed to the efficient, economical, and considerate use of natural resources. We are supported in this by our corporate environmental management, which we continue to develop. At the same time, we pay close attention to our product life cycle management with a focus on reducing emissions and conserving resources.

A further contribution to active environmental protection comes from our efficient energy supply: In 2015, the energy concept of our new cleanroom facility at the Ludwigsstadt location received the "Lean & Green Award". This award also recognizes our employees who have contributed to the improvements.

Responsibility towards Employees

WOM is proud of its exceptional team. Respect, honesty, and openness characterize our corporate culture and our special team spirit. Currently, our employees participate in the company's success with a variable salary share. With more than 30 working time models, we also meet the requests for a good work-life balance.

The health of our employees and the security of our jobs are just as much part of our standard as the continuous individual training. Our career portal provides you with more information as well as job opportunities at WOM.

Strengthening the Company and helping the Needy

Our social responsibility, as a global medical device company, goes beyond patients, customers, suppliers, and business partners. We also support and participate in non-profit initiatives, such as senior citizen projects in the Ludwigsstadt region.

We are also committed to the integration of refugees and support fundraisers and charity projects to help those in need in the Ukraine. In addition, our employees are provided with two days of volunteer leave per year to foster the giving spirit.
